Mr. Nutter began his legal career litigating insurance disputes on behalf of some of the largest insurance companies in the country. In 2009, he channeled the knowledge he gained from representing big companies into his representation of property owners (residential and commercial) in disputes against their insurers. Since that time, he has litigated over a thousand cases involving disputed property claims against insurance companies and construction defect claims against home builders, general contractors, and subcontractors.

Mr. Nutter is often called upon to give presentations and lectures to other lawyers, construction and insurance professionals, and consultants. He is licensed to practice in all state courts in Florida and the United States District Courts for the Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Florida.

Rick Nutter was born in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in Dallas, Texas. He returned to Florida in 1996 to attend the University of Florida, where he received his bachelor’s degree in 2000. He continued his education at Stetson University College of Law, where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2003. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Stetson University in 2003.

Mr. Nutter resides in Tampa with his wife and daughter.
